The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art

This free museum is in downtown KC. We spent a couple of hours there and only saw a small fraction of the exhibits. 

Benjamin explained to the children that we do not touch the art at the museum. Of course they forgot 2.5 minutes later.

The picture of the water fountain is not art. I had to tell several of the children not to drink from the short fountain that is for dogs.

Xander saw the statue of the Thinker and asked why he was sitting on the potty. All the kids thought that was hilarious of course, because potty humor always is after all. So, they nicknamed the statue the Stinker.

Isaac has very interesting taste in furniture and decorations. Most of the pics I took of those things were upon his request.

Jacob L. Loose Park

This park is in the heart of downtown KC. It is 75 acres of rose gardens, playgrounds, a pond, tennis courts, splash pads, and the site of a civil war battle.

Future Tennis Stars

We play almost everyday now that school is almost out. All of the kids love it! Expect the little girls. Sigh. 7 out of 10 are really good odds though.

Some of my most favorite scriptures were written here. Such a blessing to be able to visit.

Lego Love

All of the kids love to play with Legos and will spend hours doing it. It seems to be their escape from such a busy household to go find a quiet corner and create.
