Happy 10th Birthday Chantelle!

I love this girl! She is kind, caring, generous, patient, considerate, adventurous, fun, and sweet. And always willing to lend a hand. Pretty much everything I want to be when I grow up. I am so thankful she is my daughter and I so look forward to the next ten years with her.

She wanted to make her own cake and decorations.  She chose Monopoly for her theme and we had fun playing together as a family.

They always feel like dancing!

Gabs and Joshua love ballroom dancing. They are doing their best to teach their sibs.

Happy Valentines!

So grateful for my sweet friend, Jen for her suggestion to make red dyed pancakes for everyone. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed thinking about doing fun, memorable things with the kids. And this was so simple! The kids used the cookie cutters to cut out their favorite shapes, and had kisses on the side!

The kids then painted Valentines for Benjamin and I.

Some Love for Quinn

There has not been enough said on this blog about Quinn. This will be my first post on here because I thought today would be a good day to have a first post about how wonderful Quinn is. There is no picture because no photograph I have of Quinn adequately shows her beauty and the light that she radiates all the time to me and to everybody.

Quinn is so selfless and kind. She nurtures all around her with love and compassion. She is very optimistic. She is always finding fun things to do with the kids and surprises me frequently with how much love she shows me. I hope she feels as special as she helps me feel when I am in her arms or near her. She has such a nice contagious smile and laugh bringing joy to all around her.

On this Valentine's Day I don't think there is a worldly way to adequately demonstrate enough love and appreciation for her, but I will shout out a little love for Quinn. I hope she feels the eternal desire I have to be with her. I hope she always feels safe and happy. That is what I want for her and hope to assist to bring that to her instead of detracting or diminishing from that result.

I love you Quinn!

Little Angel

About half of us have a stomach bug. Mercedes has had it the worst. She has handled it like a pro. She will actually lean over the toilet and vomit without us having to hold her. She is such a sweet little baby. I am so thankful to have this time with her. As sad as I am that she is sick, I am thankful that she let me hold her for more than a few seconds. She is never still unless she is asleep.

Our Tribe

I accidentally erased Xander's pic on the bench. I will update soon. They each got one pic and one pose.

Nap Time

The kids have had a virus and several of them haven't been feeling well this week. Abigail fell asleep while reading. The first time I checked on her she was on her pillow, a few minutes later she was upside down. I think the dolphin pushed her off.

The girls think it is really funny to put both of the babies hair up and put bows in their hair so they look like twins. Xander bears this patiently and seems to like all the attention.

Date Night at the KC Temple

My first time doing sealings! What a blessing to have a temple so close. What a beautiful temple. I am so thankful for the temple workers and our bishop's daughters who were willing to watch 10 kids on a school night.

The Potty Came to Town!

Xander was so excited for his potty to be delivered Friday by Amazon! He ripped it out of the box and sat on his potty for at least ten minutes. All the big kids came home and he was still sitting on his potty and so proud to show his siblings. I took his diaper off and he sat on the potty for at least another 20 minutes.  Finally,  success!

He hasn't wanted to sit on his potty since then, too much work I guess.
