Joshua, Isaac, Chantelle and Travis, my 11th child, we're all on the same team together this year. Isaac had to play a division up, and was thrilled to play with his brother and sister. Benjamin coached their team. All four of them made huge leaps in their skills this year, especially learning to pass more frequently. This pic is of their last regular season game and it doesn't do justice to how much mud is on them.

KC Zoo on the Fly
I took the kids to the zoo last Wednesday so we could utilize our free tickets before they expired. The zoo closes at 4, and the kids have early release on Wednesday so they arrive home by 2. Benjamin was still at work and it was just me and the triple jogging stroller. I have to admit I was a little daunted by the thought of taking all ten kids to a 200 acre open area without back up, but who can pass up free tickets( at least a $120 dollar value for our family?)
My strategy was to keep them moving, FAST. I figured if they were concentrating on keeping up they couldn't wander off. At least half the time we were running. We got through the entire zoo in an hour and a half. Everyone had fun and was exhausted. I was actually less stressed than if we had stayed there for the entire day. Even though I felt a little overwhelmed about this outing, the Lord blessed us and we had a wonderful time, although daddy was sorely missed. I am thankful for the reminder that spending time with our family doesn't have to be a perfectly timed or executed event. (Because that would never happen in our family!)

What Happened to Baby Girl?
In the interest of keeping it real, and least any of you think we are living happily ever after here in the Sheldon household after a fairytale internet courtship and wedding, our baby is cranky. I mean all the TIME! She is the sweetest, most easy going little girl, until a month ago. Actually, if she were only cranky, it would be fine. However, she is also violent and prone to cry every minute of the day. She is teething and has some allergies. However, this doesn't account for her utter miserableness and ability to terrorize her family. And completely interrupt Sacrament. However, we are loving her through this and hoping she hasn't started the terrible twos a few months early. It has been a timely reminder for me to be forever grateful to my Heavenly Parents for being patient with me when I am cranky, or whiny, or disobedient. They are always there to listen and uplift through the Atonement and the power of the Priesthood. I feel such extreme gratitude for our Savior's love and understanding of what we must endure in this life and how intimately he knows and loves each of us.
